  10. First of all i have to say that i was more than a little surprised to find 
  11. another STOS Diskzine appear.  If not a little peeved as well, I mean it's 
  12. hard enough to get feedback for one diskzine without having to compete 
  13. with another.  But for you the reader it can only be a good thing, so i am 
  14. going to tell you all about this Gigazine without comparing it to STOSSER 
  15. ( If i can ! )

  17. After viewing everything in the zine i have come to the conclusion that it 
  18. is a one off.  There is no mention of any future issues.  The whole thing 
  19. seems to have been put together by one person, David Haylett, 
  20. (Black Eagle) who is sixteen years old and seems to be aiming more towards 
  21. the demo coder.  But dont be put off by that last comment as it's not just 
  22. for demo coder's.

  24. There are 42 readable files on disk, allthough a large chunk of these are 
  25. taken up by either reviews or humour.  I personally found the most 
  26. interesting articles in the GENERAL RUBBISH section, and it wasn't general 
  27. rubbish!.  I especially like the AMOS, COMMERCIAL STOS, and STOS SOURCE 
  28. articles, the latter was not about the source given away on the disk but 
  29. about STOS Source from P.D.L.'s.

  31. The actual shell was simple and easy to use, the intro was i think the 
  32. author will agree.  A little plain, allthough i did like the bit at the 
  33. end of the scroller.  The text displayer again was simple and easy to use, 
  34. but no printer options !.

  36. The source given away on the disk, well the actual source was good.  But 
  37. the quantity was poor, there are 11 items in the source folder but some of 
  38. the source needs two files.  Therefore there was only eight different 
  39. peices of usable source, there is over 100,000 Bytes free on the disk and 
  40. surely this could have been filled with something.

  42. After reading the above comments you will probably come to the conclusion 
  43. that i dont think much of the zine.  Well you would be wrong, I liked it, 
  44. it was informative and the few routines were useful, actually i learnt 
  45. quite a few things from some of the articles and i am sure you will. A lot 
  46. of time and effort has gone into this disk, some of the articles are dated 
  47. as far back as May up to the present.  So the Much Stos Gigazine has been 
  48. in the pipeline for quite some time.

  50. My honest verdict is a definate BUY IT!. I  guarantee that you will find 
  51. something to your advantage in it.  Let's face it, there's only your STOS 
  52. manual and STOSSER diskzine for all you Stossers to read and gain valuable 
  53. information from.  Therefore anything STOS related must be a good buy, I 
  54. liked it, So will you !.
